“We don’t like marketing.”
That’s the conclusion we came to at our very first meeting as the Jabberwocky Studios team. We were an eclectic group of young professionals from a wide range of backgrounds: art, literature, philosophy, economics, mathematics, linguistic studies, history, music. None of us were marketers by formal training, and none of us were interested in doing marketing as defined by the brands, agencies, and experts we’d come into contact with during our day jobs.
Instead, we were interested in exploring a singular problem: how does a business (an abstract, impersonal thing) communicate with people (human beings with unique emotions, desires, and experiences) in a meaningful way – and persuade them to take action that benefits them both?
The answer we landed on was “story.” Stories are how we understand ourselves and share our world. We rely on them to connect the dots of past, present, and future. They’re how we grow and change. How can we leverage the unique power of stories over the human imagination to connect people with companies and organizations that can benefit them? That question is what drove us to pursue this kind of work.
With that in mind, we decided to tackle every part of the marketing funnel. From strategy to implementation, content creation to advertising, design to analytics, we execute on every level. Because, the best stories are the ones that captivate audiences from beginning to end.
We love discovering new people, new stories, and new challenges.
So, why should you hire us? We can’t claim the same breadth of experience or deep subject-matter expertise that some other agencies might have. But if you want to take a chance on a different way of thinking about and doing marketing, if you want to work with resourceful problem-solvers driven by an insatiable curiosity about everything your company is and does, we might just be your team.
